Don and Norma have spent 30 years serving as Bible translators with Wycliffe Bible Translators in Papua New Guinea. They have finished and dedicated both the Rawa and the Kara New Testaments. Don has been working out of the Northeast Regional office serving as Director of Stewardship Ministries. In June of 2007 the Tolands will return to Papua New Guinea for a year to work among the Rawa people in Literacy and Scripture-In-Use projects such as: * Acts Video master recorded into Rawa – August 21- 30th is the recording dates for this. * Audio New Testament recorded into Rawa – October * The reclamation and archiving of their literacy books which were destroyed by a marijuana-crazed Rawa man. Prior to their trip to PNG Norma has been making progress in preparing the Rawa text of Acts to fit the time constraints for the Acts Video master. Each segment of Acts is timed, then Norma will go back over the recordings, and edit it down to fit the time constraints for the Acts video recording.
