· Don’t forget we are still collecting “MOO CAPS” in the box in the lobby. All funds raised through this are being divided between Children’s Ministries and Family Ministries. Drink milk… and turn in your caps!

 

· New Wednesday night Bible study. . .starting August 1. Desiring God’s Own Heart which takes us through 1 & 2 Samuel & 1 Chronicles. If you would like to join call the church office at 464-4161.

 

· Nursery Parents. . .Please be aware of a revised sign-in system starting soon. The sign-in sheet will be filled in each week with your child’s needs, medical conditions, etc. Stay tuned.

 

· L-S High school home football games are followed by “5th Quarter” up on the hill at the pavilion behind LUMC. Help is needed as well as donations of food. Please contact the church office for more details.

 

· Keep on collecting ALUMINUM beverage cans for Project Stretch. Place them in the barrel by the dumpster or the container in the APR. Please do not place soup, or produce cans etc. in this container.

Reminder:

For the month of May the WNS dinners will be a fundraiser for Vacation Bible School. The meals will cost $4 for adults and $2 children.

· Project Stretch Update

 

Phase I - Work continues on the new parking lot along Book Road. Storm water retention work is completed as is most of the paving. Help will be needed to finish up this phase. If you can help out please contact the office. Stay tuned for more details.

 

Financial Status - Thanks for helping our money counters keep track of these designated offerings by marking your pledges and offerings accurately. On the outside of your regular offering envelope, indicate Project Stretch and the amount you would like to designate to that fund. If you choose to use the special envelopes found in the pews, please indicate your name and envelope number in the space provided.

 

Talents - Some amazingly creative ideas are resulting from our “Talents” project, everything from bricks to baked goods to belly dancing. We are planning a celebration in the fall to gather the results. If you decide to turn your talent money in before then, please designate the money to the “Talent Project” so we can keep track and celebrate how God has blessed this endeavor.
